Let’s start with supplies.  Your school district may have already posted a supply list online.

Let’s talk about technology for school.  As the digital world has taken over the globe, students do most of their work online. Many K-12 schools use Chromebooks because they are easier to operate and require less technical knowledge.

Does your school supply your child with technology? Or do you have to shop for yourself? Here are some differences you should know between Chromebooks and laptops.

Chromebook: Operate on Chrome OS and use the Chrome web browser. Chromebooks are smaller, lighter, and are typically less expensive than laptops.  They also have faster upload times due to operating on one system.

Laptop: Operate on different kinds of operating systems like Windows and Linux. These machines are more compatible with a wide range of software options. Due to the quality and more room for storage, laptops typically run more expensive than Chromebooks.

Now that we’ve covered the necessities to help kids succeed in school, let’s talk about getting a stylish new wardrobe for the school year.

Kids get excited to look their best during those first few days of school. Whether it’s new shoes or clothes, parents may be hemming and hawing over rising consumer prices.

It’s a good idea to browse the web for sales and keep an eye on your email as this is the time businesses are promoting back-to-school deals.

Can’t get off work and running out of time? Choose convenience and do your shopping online.  Just make sure you look for coupons and shipping deals so you’re not over-spending on your budget.

You can also browse social media sites like Facebook Marketplace to support local families and your community.  You never know what you can find!  Another option is to do a clothing swap with friends! This can be a fun way for the kids to exchange some of their old items for a new look!
