Tis’ The Season For Apple Picking

NinJo Group Apple Picking

Fall, here we come!

In Illinois, now’s the perfect time to pick those crispy, juicy, yummy apples! Whether you have a tradition with family, or truly enjoy heading to the apple orchard to pick fresh ingredients for your baked goods, we’ve got you covered on some of the best places to visit in the Chicago burbs!

As these are quite popular locations, it’s a good idea to check availability ahead of time. Plus, you may find yourself lucky with coupons when purchasing tickets online!

All Seasons Orchard, Woodstock

Open through November 2nd, hop on a wagon ride to the apple orchard filled with 16,000 trees! The most popular is the Honeycrisp apple!

Edwards Apple Orchard, Poplar Grove

This family-owned orchard is a place where families can create traditions! From apple picking, apple cider donuts, and fresh apple cider, you’ll be sure to taste the spices of fall!

Kuipers Family Farm, Maple Park

Indulge in fall at this 230-acre farm! Check for updates on their website weekly for a look at what apples are best to pick that week!  Be sure to stop at the shop too!  You’ll be able to get your hands on a caramel apple hand-spun right in front of you!

Royal Oak Farm, Hebron

Choose from 30 varieties of apples among four different orchards! Bring your kids and take part in the activities surrounding the orchards. Hop on the Express Train, Barrel Train, and the Royal Oak Carousel to view the surrounding countryside! Those do have a cost, but the petting zoo and playground are free of charge!
