Halloween Is Sneaking Up…Don’t Get Spooked!

NinJo Group

How is Halloween less than ONE MONTH AWAY?!  It feels like we just packed away the pool toys, and now we’re talking costumes, candy, pumpkins and trick-or-treating!

October has a way of sneaking up on us and if you have kids, you know the last-minute Halloween scramble is real!

With the holiday creeping closer, it’s time to check a few things off that list!

Start Thinking Costumes

As a parent, I’m always hesitant to buy costumes early because let’s be real, kids tend to change their minds several times.  However, now is the perfect time to brainstorm.

But don’t take too much time with this, act fast to make sure you can actually find everything you need in time.

Take Inventory Of Your Halloween Stash

Dig out those decorations, costumes and accessories from last year. You might be surprised by what you already have and what mysteriously disappeared!

Hey, you may just find that perfect Halloween costume you forgot you had!

Start Thinking Candy

You don’t need to buy it today, but it’s not too early to decide what you’ll be handing out. If you’re buying it today, make sure you hide it somewhere the kids won’t find it…plus, it’s a good idea not to leave it out to tempt you as well! 😉

Make A Plan

Halloween night can get BUSY!

Before the costumes go on, plan the evening out so it doesn’t feel chaotic. Decide where you’ll trick-or-treat, what time you’ll head out, where you’ll meet up if anyone gets separated, and what you’ll do before and after.

Add in dinner, a little family fun, and candy-check time, and you’ve got a Halloween night that feels festive—not frantic!

So while the countdown is on, get the decorations out, get your plan in place, and grab those costumes.

You’ll be ready to trick-or-treat your way into Halloween with fewer tricks and a lot more treats!
